Frightening experience. There was a young black man, very early 20's, sitting on a bench inside Lowe's (Ave K & 10th St East) wearing a black winter jacket. (Approx. 80 degrees out). As I passed him he said he wanted to ask me...I kept walking and said "No". He got very aggressive, loud, threatening, and said "It's because I'm black isn't it?", and started muttering to himself. I walked straight to the customer sevice desk and reported the incident, and said "You need to call the manager, I'm very afraid." They said they would, and I started shopping. About 10 min. later, I saw that the guy was still there, and asked the people at the customer sevice people if they had called the manager because the guy was still there? They said they'd call the mgr again. I continued shopping, and talked to a group of 3 employees and told them I was afraid because of the guy sitting on the bench. They told me he had been there for a long time and several customers had complained about his aggressive panhandling. He was telling people he was in foster care, and needed $$$. I want to know why he was still there if there had been complaints about him? And why didn't a manager come to talk to me immediately, and handle the situation?

However good selection of Halloween Decorations ( which I did not want).

I came in to purchase a washer on Aug. 28th, i expected when i went to the appliance dept i would get some kind of service (i didn't) had to find someone, make sure to do all your research before hand because there sales persons have no clue about any of the appliances they are selling. Now, for an experiment call home depot and talk to the appliance dept and ask for recommendations or ask about features and they are ALL over it, call lowes on the other had and you will get a annoyed person who could care less and are waiting to clock out. Ok, to make a long story short, i bought a washer and they delivered it then due to recall issues with balance load i decided to return it on sept 25th, they gave me a appt for sat the 30th for them to pick up, they called me the night before to give me my time frame of 12:30-2:30, ok so on the day of the scheduled pickup i receive a call from the delivery driver at 11 am that he is done for the day and i am his last pickup and asking if he could stop by then which i told him i was not home yet ( i RELY on people to keep there appts on time thats why they are called appointments) i then told him i could swing by realy quick to which he responded with oh no dont even worry about it they will call you to reschedule because i could not make it. Ok waited the rest of the day no call, no call sun or mon so i decided to call on monday the 2nd of oct. when i called customer service immediately there attitude changed, i asked the girl about my return and if i could pls reschedule and she responded with (in a Bad attitude) "well we dont pick up same day", i said ok i know that thats why im calling you so i can sort out a delivery time. Well she did not like that and immediately put me on hold for a couple mins and when she came back she said "customer service how can i help you" i said returns and she would just keep repeating the same 'customer service how can i help you" pretending she didnt hear me so i thought ok maybe my phone is messed up there is no way i would get that kind of childish behavior from them but boy was i wrong! Ended up calling corporate because at this point i could not talk to anyone at the store about rescheduling my return, once i explained the situation they got on the phone to them (the store) and got me a new pickup date of oct the 5th, well oct 5th came and went no one showed up, called lowes got same exact treatment from customer service and now was receiving the run around from appliance dept, they did not want to let me return my washer because it was past the 30 days and he had no record of any returns being initiated or even a record of it even being delivered to me, he kept telling me a delivery driver cannot schedule a return or pickup...well duh i know that i kept having to tell him over and over again until i was literally in tears that i HAD set all this up with customer service, he still didn't get it. But eventually he called me back saying he will return my washer but he NEEDS the delivery guys info because he is in trouble, i didn't give it to him it was a weird and unprofessional request and it is NOT the delivery guys fault and i can see why the employees act the way they do it seems to me that this particular lowes has a crappy work environment try walking in there everyone looks miserable like they cant wait to go home and if they see you walking up to them they practically run away from you. But at the end they have picked up my washer finally, i realy dont think this should of been such a fiasco and has caused me much unneeded stress and time, i have reached out to corporate but have not yet heard back from anyone, i even talked to a manager today but was cut off when i was explaining to him the way the employee were treating me,he didnt care and seemed super annoyed with me. But its ok i will just never purchase anything from that store again EXCEPT from the garden section that is the only thing going for this store and is all due to the AMAZING manager in garden, shes the best and has been there since the store opened.

My daughter Loves Lowe's and the people have always been very helpful. It's nice to go somewhere and people know your family. Cool people and really friendly.

Gary is a godsend, best Lowe's I've ever been too. It was my 4th stop in a row and he was able to get me the bolts I needed.

Went to get peg board. No selection so we left empty handed.
