I would not recommend this school to any one. It might be a faster way to get a degree but with the headache that comes along with it is not worth it. Talking to the Student Services Coordinator Steve Ramirez is like talking to a child he knows nothing that can truly help you. That is if you can find him in his office. The finance department is just rude to say the least, they never truly answer your question or they are more likely to sending you over to another department which then send you back to them. The books you get are way over priced. When I say way over priced I am speaking about hundred dollars if not more. I personally did a price check on the books versus the book the school sells. One teacher did not have field related experience and he was teaching the class when that individual was replaced it was already to late for past students. I feel like if the Johnson took more time to talk to their students instead of doing what every they do about their feelings instead of them making them take a stupid survey that is not confidential like they say they would realize that their staff is rude and are setting student up for failure. The survey do NOT fix the issues student have made. Do NOT get me wrong their are some really good teacher and staff members but they are few in between the rude and horrible teachers and staff member. The best way I would describe this school in a glorified trade school.

I have several friends attending this "for profit" school. Don't waste your time or money! The quality of instruction, is not worth the high prices. They have a few excellent instructors. However, most of the instructors are very unprofessional. Do your research before attending this "for profit " school.

I did very well in my EMT and enjoyed the experience. The class was well laid out and took the steps piece by piece. There were one or two people who couldn't keep the pace but a rigorous course isn't for everyone. I passed and went on to pass National as well. Now I'm just waiting for a job to come up and continue my career. Very good school. Great staff. Admissions can be a bit tricky but not impossible. Thank you to the teachers and staff. You guys rocked!

I'm currently a UAV student attending at the park view campaus inside a bungalow, we currently have no working water to drink for the summer, we have vending machines that don't work or have no stock of water in it, no break room besides the gym that we share with the public and two restroom that proe go in and out of and not far from the sitting area/ break room/ gym / welcoming center for the school we share the campus with. And not only that we have no security and we are a night class that have crazys walking around and have had people try to beak into students cars while they are inside the car resting, oeoe just walking on campus while class is in section, over all instructor s are great that's the only reason i m staying to finish my class.

I took EMT at this college and it was a while since i have gone to school. I am 42 and think this class was way to fast pace for me . I believe if you have a fresh mind and still in that stage where you can learn at a fast pace this is a good class . I really like my instructor he kept incur raging me and pushing me but i wasn't able to keep up . most of the students in the class had ether just graduated from a different field of coming from school , or in some time of teaching role it was very over whelming. I felt like i had to catch up all the time or when taking test iwas the last one and had to take the rest of the test in the library which to me was to noisy , people eating , watching videos , or musing while i was trying to take a test not the setting i expected for a college . I don't really believe it was a waste of money i did learn a lot from my instructor he was the bomb. I also like that the registrations department kept sending me updates and checking on how i was doing thanks Theresa ! . I had fun i am not giving up i will take the class again at AVC .
